The Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida serves as a grantor and incubator for the State of Florida by funding and evaluating prevention and early intervention innovative program models. The Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida identifies, funds, supports, and tests innovative programs to improve the life outcomes of children, preserve and strengthen families, and promote healthy behavior and functioning in society, recognizing that the wisest money spent is on prevention.
Special Placement Information:
·The Agency is accepting 2nd year MSW and SPA concentration.
·Full and part-time internships.
·The student will need transportation to and from the office.
·Travel reimbursement is provided for any out-of-town travel required by the agency.
·The intern is not required to have liability insurance.
·Video and audio taping is not permitted.
·Agency hours are 8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday-Friday, except to accommodate travel out of town when necessary.
·The agency is accessible by bus.
The intern would be exposed to advocacy, policy development, grant
management, budget management, various data collection methodologies, contract compliance, and monitoring. Quality Assurance reviews, site visits, and report development are also required.
