The vision of PTC is to create a better world where lives and communities are made whole again through the comprehensive treatment of people with substance use disorders. PTC/HQ WR is a medication assisted treatment facility for opioid and heroin addiction, treating adults of all ages in a diverse population. PTC/HQ WR offers the latest, evidence-based therapeutic approaches in addition treatment. Custom plans include individual, group, and family counseling, trauma support, complementary modes such as yoga and mindfulness, expressive therapies, and encourage healthy lifestyle activities like exercise and outdoor recreation. 

Intern Job Description:
The role of the social worker is to perform intakes and evaluate whether a potential patient is appropriate for treatment, create treatment plans, prepare biopsychosocial assessments, provide counseling services, maintain compliance with state regulations and PTC/HQ WR policies and procedures, and prepare discharge plans.

Special Information:

This agency accepts full and part time MSW 1 and MSW 2 (clinical) students. All placement requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Students must provide their own transportation. Travel is not reimbursed by the agency, nor is a stipend available. Students do need liability insurance. Neither video nor audio taping is permitted. The agency's hours are Monday through Thursday from 5:30 AM to 2:15 PM, and Friday from 5:30 AM to 12:30 PM. There are no weekend or evening hours available. The agency is not accessible by bus, but is accessible by Uber/Lyft and taxi service. This agency is a medication assisted substance abuse treatment facility where HIPAA and 42 CFR must be strictly adhered to.
