This is a residential program for adults, males and females, who have experienced significant trauma. Services include detox, residential, and partial hospitalization with sober housing. Individual and group therapy is provided. Additional therapies include art, music, equine, yoga, breath work, acupuncture and massage, meditation, 12-step fellowships etc. The goal is to support clients in working through severe trauma and to develop healthier coping strategies. Interns will gain experience in assessment, tax plan development, individual and group therapy, discharge planning, and supportive coping strategies. Frequent clinical diagnoses include PTSD, MDD, GAD, DID, and a variety of substance use disorders.
Special Placement Information
MSW 1st year student, MSW (2nd year and Advanced Standing), Part-time MSW. The agency is in the National Forest and not accessible by public transportation. There is no stipend nor housing available for interns. Because interns must work with supervisors, their hours will usually end at five or 6pm and begin at 8:30am. Two or three full days availability per week, including one weekend day are preferred and the specific schedule will be worked out between the intern and clinical director only audio-taping is permitted and with client consent. Liability coverage is required. Part-time requirement would be for 16 hours.
