Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) offers a comprehensive range of programs and services which support people of all ages and beliefs. Programs and services include the following:
- Psychotherapy provided from elementary school aged children to older adults using individual, family and group psychotherapy
- Outreach department offers connections with local schools and synagogues and support groups.
- Psychiatric services, including medication management.
- Psychological assessments including testing for dementia, autism, neuropsychological evaluations and school evaluations.
- Special Needs Department hosts over 70 support groups specifically geared for families with special needs
Student Placement Information:
Stipends are not available for students. Student will need to provide their own transportation on to secure campus. Travel is not reimbursed by the agency. No stipend is available. Video/audio taping may be permitted, dependent on the comfort level of the client being served. Students are required to work in the clinic a minimum of one evening per week. No weekend hours are available. The agency’s hours are Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 8:00pm, Fridays 8:30 am – 4:00pm. Students'’ schools will need to provide liability insurance of $1 million/$3 million.
