SALT Outreach Inc. is a mobile day services facility that employs a holistic approach to providing services to the homeless population in the downtown Orlando Area.  Services offered include Showers, Laundry services, Hygiene products, mail services Case Management services, Spiritual Care, and Mental Health Services.  SALT serves a diverse number of people from different backgrounds and with different needs including younger and older adults, families, the community, etc.  Social workers are an important part of our Case Management and Mental Health teams. Social workers identify clients in need, conduct assessments to determine needed services, and complete goal-setting and planning with clients.

Special Placement Information:

The Agency accepts BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, Part-time BSW, Part-time MSW.  The operating hours of the agency are Sunday-Thursday 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Fridays in Seminole County from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Each student is required to provide their own transportation to their internship and the agency is unable to provide travel reimbursements at this time. SALT outreach does not provide paid internship opportunities at this time but may make special accommodations/exceptions in certain circumstances. Video recording is not permitted in our agency, but audio taping may be permitted for special assignments with the client's consent.
