The Anita Stewart Oncology Center is a freestanding facility designed to meet the special needs of people receiving cancer treatment and those who support them. 
The center houses both medical and radiation oncology departments, serving patients who are 18 years old and greater. Patients come from approximately 10 of the surrounding counties in the area to receive their cancer care at the Oncology Center.
There is one Social Worker on staff, serving both the medical oncology and radiation oncology departments, providing practical and emotional support to patients and their caregivers.

Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 1st-year and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (SL + clinical) students. Full-time positions only.
Agency hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday.
Travel reimbursement not available.
Stipend not available.
Video-/Audio-taping not permitted.
Our Learning and Development department will provide the student with a packet that outlines the requirements to be completed prior to beginning an internship; they can be reached at students@tiftregional.com. They advise that students should begin working on the packet at least one month prior to their start date.
