Family Foundations of Northeast Florida, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is "to maximize the potential of individuals and families in Northeast Florida to lead better lives." Through the delivery of high-quality and affordable financial stability and mental health counseling services, Family Foundations envisions a thriving community of financially and emotionally stronger individuals and families.  Family Foundations operates two business lines: Financial Wellness and Mental/Behavioral Health Counseling Services. The Mental/Behavioral Health Counseling Services divisions provide a comprehensive set of counseling and education services for individuals aged 5 through adulthood. The program operates in 26 elementary, middle, & high schools); and Community Services (counseling services to community-based nonprofit partners such as Volunteers in Medicine and UF Health Alliance and 6 after-school programs). We conduct services in person and via tele-health. Our services are affordable and we do not refuse services due to a client's inability to pay.  Our Financial Wellness division operates several programs to address the short and long-term financial needs of our clients. The programs fit into three broad categories: Managing Your Money; Owning a Home; and Financial Coaching.   The majority of our clients are low to moderate-income households. Our clients range in age from as young as 5 to seniors (65+). 

Part-time MSW. (clinical) Interns work directly with our multitude of programs, starting with observing and co-counseling while they learn our processes. Later, they are provided an opportunity to have a small caseload in which they would obtain consent, complete an in-depth assessment, assist in formulating a diagnosis, completing an MSE and pre/post CFARS, developing treatment plans and reviewing every 6 months, and providing ongoing weekly to bi-weekly counseling services. They also have opportunities to provide group counseling in an array of areas. Interns are also included in our monthly clinical staffing and will attend one or more agency events during the course of their internship.
