Social welfare, social justice, and human rights take many forms worldwide. The FSU College of Social Work actively engages in building an understanding of our place in the global community and learning how we can respond to those in need. Our international programs give students the opportunity to study abroad and experience internships, alternative spring break projects, and international exchange opportunities.

Each of our international program opportunities provides students with hands-on experience living and working in new environments while emphasizing universal and culturally relevant principles of social justice and professional social work ethics.

The FSU College of Social Work’s International Programs received the Partners in Advancing International Education (PIE) Award for two consecutive years, including the 2010 social work program award and the 2011 individual award to Patricia Lager, our founding (and now retired) director.
