Vivid Visions is the certified Domestic Violence Center for Suwannee County. We assist victims of domestic violence and their children. We provide counseling, group counseling, emergency shelter, hotline, case management, injunction assistance, court advocacy, victims advocacy, and case management for those survivors and their children. Vivid Visions covers Suwannee County we have 44,000 residents In Suwannee County. We offer several programs in the community as well as teaching classes on domestic violence at River Oak Technical College and to community organizations. Vivid Visions also has a prevention program, where we go into the local schools and teach teens about dating violence and how to prevent domestic violence relationships.

Special Placement Information:

The Agency is accepting BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, Social Leadership, Part-time MSW, and Part-time BSW.  The student will not need liability insurance. Due to confidentiality laws in the State of Florida no recording devices or pictures are allowed in any domestic violence facility. Our agency hours are 8:30 to 4:30 pm Mon Fri and our shelter is a 24-hour facility with advocates on staff at all times. The student will need to attend the state Core Competency class, this 24-hour course will provide the student with confidentiality privileges according to Florida statute 90.5036. Vivid Visions will provide the student with this training and register the students' privilege with the state once completed.
