Children’s Home Society’s mission is to protect children through preserving and protecting families.  The Homeward Bound Program provides first-line shelter and foster care placement for children referred by the Department of Children and Families.  The age s of children range from newborn to 18 years old.  Case managers work toward a goal of reunification when possible and appropriate utilizing a team approach.

Special Information:

MSW 1st and 2nd year, full and part-time placement. Student must provide own transportation, however the agency is accessible by public bus. Stipends depend on program and grants/contracts with founders. Students are covered under the agency’s insurance; however, students may wish to purchase additional liability insurance.  Students sign a release of liability.  Audio and videotaping is not permitted without a release.  The agency hours are 8am to 5pm. Weekend and evening hours depend on program, grant, and founders.
