The Adult Services Program is an integral part of the continuum of care offered by DISC Village, Inc. Adult Services provides comprehensive intake, screening, assessment, case management and counseling to adults, 18 years and older, with issues related to substance use disorders and dependence, as well as those with co-occurring mental health issues.
A biopsychosocial evaluation is completed in order to determine the appropriate level of care placement, which may include intervention, outpatient, intensive outpatient, aftercare or residential services. All of our services include comprehensive case management and referrals are made to appropriate organizations for any needs that fall outside of the scope of services.
Adult outpatient services include individual, group and support counseling. Families are invited to fulfill a supportive role in their loved ones’ treatment program. Family members may be included in some therapy sessions. Adult Services uses standardized tools, evidence-based curricula and best practices to provide quality care to our clients. Free HIV education, counseling and testing services are also available at all of our locations.
Adult outpatient services are conducted in several office locations throughout the Big Bend area. Some of these offices are co-located with other service providers and referral sources so that the continuum of care may be maximized. Additionally, we offer electronic services to clients who wish to access the same comprehensive services with a live counselor via the internet. Adult outpatient services are provided at the following locations: Leon, Franklin, Wakulla, Gadsden, and Taylor counties
