Elder Care Services is a private, not-for-profit organization located in Tallahassee, Florida.
We serve older adults, age 60+, and their families in Leon and Wakulla County. 
Elder Care offers a wide range of services and programs with the primary goal to enable seniors to live in their community with the greatest degree of independence possible. 
Social Workers are utilized as case managers and counselors to provide assistance to seniors and serve as a liaison to family members.
They assess the senior's situation, goals and strengths, develop a plan for assistance, and help put the plan into action.

Intern job description:
Social Work interns will work with our case managers to assist in organizing and monitoring client's care as based on their needs. They will assist in performing initial, annual, and semi-annual assessments, help develop care plans and organize services, complete telephone reassurance calls, accompany case managers when completing in-home wellness checks, and participate in inter-agency meetings.

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW and MSW 1st-year students. Full- and part-time positions available.
Agency hours: 8:30AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday. Weekend and evening hours not available.
Transportation not required. Agency accessible by public transit. 
Stipend not available.
COVID-19 vaccinations not required.
