Information

This agency serves victims of crime who are FSU students or who are victimized on FSU campus. Population served is 75% female, 25% male, mostly in the 18 to 27 age range. Services include accompanying victims to hospital, doctor’s office, police dept., counselor, etc. Also provided are crisis intervention counseling, referrals for longer-term counseling, education on stalking, relationship violence, and sexual violence. Interns will practice advocacy work, crisis intervention, and serve as a broker for services.

Special Information:

  • MSW 2nd Year/Advanced Standing internship Fall and Spring only.
  • Travel is not reimbursed or required.
  • No stipend but paid internships are sometimes available.
  • Students do not need liability insurance.
  • Agency hours are 8:00 to 5:00 from Monday through Friday, with weekends and evening hours possibly optional.
