The agency is an in-patient psychiatric hospital providing short-term acute care. Students are involved in Unit Group activities, conduct psychosocial assessments, develop preliminary treatment plans, attend clinical staff meetings, and observe case staffings with the treatment team. As they develop skills and familiarity with the program, they may conduct group activities with assistance and do interviewing.

Special Information:

• Students must be MSW advanced standing or second year and have completed the psychopathology course.

  Placements are 8-5pm.  There is no availability after 5:00 pm or weekends because there is no MSW supervisor available during those times.
