The primary function of Brittany S. Newman, LLC is to provide Mental Health therapy in individual, couples, and family therapy sessions.
Clients served range from 4-100 years.
The role of the Social Worker is to provide evidence based therapeutic services to clients.
Intern job description:
Observe therapy sessions of individual, couples, and families from 4 to 100 years.
Schedule appointments as needed and call clients back.
Practice assessments and progress notes.
Conduct, with direct supervision, some therapy sessions if the student presents ready.
Potential for Baker or Marchman Act, crisis management and intervention.
Observe, add to, and conduct group trainings for individuals within the community working with the homeless population.
Learn Electronic Health Records System and billing (will not do billing, but will learn
about it).
Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (clinical) students. Full-time positions only.
Agency hours: 9:00AM-7:00PM, Monday-Friday.
Students should present themselves in a professional manner, should be prepared and on-time for their placements, should be able to manage their time appropriately.
