Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital is an acute care hospital that serves an all ages adult population, with a small pediatric caseload. The patients may be rehabilitating from a range of medical diagnoses and injuries, including strokes, spinal injuries, brain injuries, orthopedics, amputations, and more general medical problems. The Social Worker/ Case Managers are responsible for leading the rehabilitation team, assessing for social factors for a safe discharge, monitoring insurance factors related to the patient’s admission, and discharge planning.

MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing full time/part time students.  Daytime hours.  Travel not required.  Accessible by bus. Once an intern is more independent, the hours may be able to be adjusted to include weekends and nights, but still including regular business hours.
