Minor in Social Welfare

The Minor in Social Welfare requires students to complete 12 hours of social work courses with a C- or better.

Course Requirements:

  • SOW3203: The Social Work Profession
  • SOW 3350: Interviewing and Documentation
  • Two elective social work courses of your choice.

*NOTE:  This minor is competitive.  We consider applicants with less than 100 credit hours and a strong GPA.

An application is required for the minor and does not qualify a student to apply for advanced standing graduate programs in social work or for professional certification or licensure.
