Leah Cheatham awarded Doris Duke Fellowship for the second year

Congratulations to Leah Cheatham for being awarded a second year of funding ($30,000) as part of her Doris Duke Fellowship! The Doris Duke Fellowship is awarded to a select few doctoral students from around the country who are the “new generation of leaders interested in and capable of creating practice and policy initiatives that will enhance child development and improve the nation’s ability to prevent all forms of child maltreatment”. Leah is working with Stephen Pennypacker, Esq., President/CEO of Partnership for Strong Families as her policy mentor, and Dr. Karen Randolph as her academic mentor. Her dissertation will focus on youths with disabilities aging out of foster care.
