Alexandria City Public Schools serves more than 15,000 students who hail from more than 145 countries and speak more than 132 languages. 
ACPS has 18 schools including 2 middle schools, 2 K-8 schools, 1 Pre-K schools and the internationally recognized Alexandria City High School. 
Every school campus has a fully staffed Student Support Team (SST) consisting of a school psychologist, school nurse, 1 or more school counselors, and 1 or more school social workers. The school social worker is an essential component of the home school partnership, providing access to resources, truancy prevention and intervention, and mental health support.
