Cascade Medical Center is an independent, critical access hospital and Rural Health Clinic.  We serve approximately 3300 people in the rural/ remote west-central Idaho communities of Cascade, Donnelly, Smiths Ferry, yellow Pine, and others.  We offer acute & chronic care, emergency care, physical therapy, behavioral health counseling, laboratory/radiology services, inpatient care, and dietary education.  We have five full-time Medical providers, 3 physical therapists, one behavioral health provider, a part-time registered dietitian, and many nurses & support staff.  Cascadian’s are 20 years older than the average Idaho community is, with approximately 70% of our clients being Medicare age.  We also serve many local families and low-income patients.  The SW at the CMC works in both the Primary Care clinic and the Hospital/ER.  In the clinic, SW provides Specialty Mental Health Counseling and Integrated Behavioral Health consultations with the Providers during patient visits.  In the hospital, SW is part of the care team, provides support with discharge planning and other tasks to support patients in our inpatient rooms.

Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 1st-year and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing, (clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available. 
Agency hours: 8:00AM-5:00PPM. Minimal evening hours available. Minimal weekend hours available.
Lunch available for $2 from hospital kitchen. 
Dress code: business casual. 
Travel not required. Agency accessible by public transit. 
Stipend not available. 
Video-/Audio-taping not permitted.
