Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach was established in 1984 as the social service arm of the Palm Beach Diocese.
Agency serves, on average each year, more than 15,000 unduplicated clients throughout the Palm Beach Diocese which includes the counties: Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin, and Okeechobee. 
Catholic Charities currently provides services through 12 programs and ministries.
The services of Catholic Charities are available to all residents of the service area who qualify for the particular program. The priority is to serve the poorest and most vulnerable.

Intern job description:
Comprehensive case management is the best approach for serving asylum seekers due to their complex needs. 
Identify needs, goals, and a plan for services with the client in a collaborative and trauma-informed process.
Coordinating the client's service needs, case managers will liaise the client's immigration attorney to ensure client is receiving the supports necessary to comply with their immigration court requirements.
Maintaining documentation related to the case in the confidential case file.
Complete reports in the MRIS system.

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW, MSW 1st-year, and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (SL + clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available.
Agency hours: 8:30AM - 4:30PM, Monday-Friday.
Stipend not available.
Transportation not required. 
Video-/Audio-taping permitted with consent and appropriate signed forms.
