Information

Agency provides individual and group counseling to adults and children in the group home setting. Students are allotted the opportunity to work in the group setting with client in developing group and providing therapeutic intervention. This allows student to meet hours needed since children are typically living in the home.  Children are involved in child welfare, and this is a contracted position (agency is not a child welfare agency). Students are also able to provide group support in an afterschool program focused on social emotional intelligence. Students are engaged in community advocacy efforts to include crisis as needed, education, and training.

Special placement information:

Accepting MSW 1st-year and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (SL + clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available. Agency hours are evenings and weekends. No stipend provided and students require their own transportation. No videotaping is permitted (students are supported in completing process recording assignments in other ways).
