The agency, overall, provides a variety of services from outpatient Mental Health care, supportive housing, an after school program, case management, and care coordination for individuals at risk of contracting HIV.
The Chapel Street Clinic provides outpatient Mental Health services only. We treat age groups that san from 5 years-adulthood. Our clinic provides individual, group, and family therapy services in addition to psychotropic medication management provision on a voluntary basis. Clients in need of case management can be referred to a case manager at another location when applicable. As an article 31 clinic, we provide services for most insurance providers including Medicaid and Medicare. Clients at our agency may be self-referred, however, we also work with a significant number of mandated clients who have been referred by the courts, local child protective services, and probation officers.
Intern would be expected to provide individual therapy, conduct intake assessments (including diagnosing), write treatment plans, and write progress notes the way that any other therapist would. Intern will be provided with office space on the days worked in the clinic, weekly individual supervision, group supervision (optional), and opportunities to run groups (optional). Due to the number of clients at our clinic who are part of marginalized communities, intern will also have opportunities to coordinate with other service providers to advocate for housing services and other agencies that provide increased social and Mental Health support in the New York City area.

Agency hours: 9:00AM-6:00PM, Monday. 9:00AM-8:00PM, Tuesday. 9:00AM-6:00PM, Wednesday. 9:00AM-8:00PM, Thursday. 9:00AM-6:00PM, Friday. 9:00AM-5:00PM, Saturday.
Ability to provide services from 9:00AM-9:00PM any day of the week except Sundays. Face to face sessions are limited to the office schedule noted above.
