Counseling and Psychological Services at FSU provides free and confidential mental health services to enrolled students at Florida State University. In general, the age of the population served are young adults, but CAPS provides services to non-traditional students, graduate and non-degree seeking students thus ages can range throughout adulthood. CAPS provides individual, group and couples therapy as well as Treatment Coordination
services for students in need of high level or specialized treatment. CAPS also provides numerous outreach events aimed at prevention and psychoeducation.
Special Placement Information:
The agency is accepting MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Students. CAPS is located on FSU's campus. Students who are interning at CAPS will need to be able to travel to our office. The hours are 8arn-5pm with doors locking at 4pm. There are no weekend or evening hours unless there is an outreach presentation which is at the discretion of the Intern to choose whether or not they would like to participate. Liability insurance is required. Any video taping is done with client consent and using secure process at CAPS. Only Masters Internship Coordinator and Primary Supervisor of the intern will be viewing any recordings.
