Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cape Coral is an Inpatient Acute Care Rehabilitation hospital serving patients who need
rehabilitation services. Our primary focus is on any adult over the age of 18 who needs rehab services for diagnoses such as stroke, amputations, or traumatic brain injury.  Social workers are responsible for bio/psychosocial assessments, and monitoring patient progress to assist in establishing patient goals. Social workers assist patients and families in discharge planning and ensuring they have needed resources to ensure a coordinated transition to the next level of care.

Special Placement Information:

The Agency is accepting BSW Full-time, and MSW 1st year students.  Students will need transportation to the hospital. No stipend is available.  No liability insurance. Video or audio taping would be on a case-by-case basis with Quality and Legal departments involved and ensuring patient consent and privacy. Typical hours would be Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 PM, weekend coverage is available.
