Good Shepherd Hospice is a specialized service that provides compact care and compassion to patients with life limiting illnesses and their loved ones. All patients on our program have a life expectancy of five-six months or less. We serve patients across the lifespan.
Intern duties include:
Being on an interdisciplinary hospice team. Intern will function as a bereavement specialist.
Completing bereavement risk assessments and clinicals based on protocol of level of risk
Assisting in planning and facilitating bereavement support groups for both grieving children and adults
Provision of individual support and education lessons
Developing and facilitating workshops and memorials.
Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 2nd-year/advanced standing (SL + clinical) students. Full-timne positins only.
Liability insurance required
Intern required to complete volunteer training prior to starting
Agency standard hours: 8:30AM - 4:30PM. Weekend hours available.
