The Greater Kansas City Coalition to End Homelessness is the Lead Agency for the HUD Continuum of Care, serving all subpopulations experiencing homelessness in the Jackson County, Missouri and Wyandotte County, Kansas metropolitan area. In this role, GKCCEH is the primary administrator of approximately $15M in HUD housing funds. Critical functions of this role include conducting the annual Point in Time count of homelessness, managing the homeless system’s HMIS data system, overseeing the annual competition for HUD COC funds, taking lead on strategies and solutions to end homelessness, and managing and operating the CoC’s Coordinated Entry System. While primarily administrative, GKCCEH offers the opportunity for student interns to provide direct client services in partnership with the many service providers under the Continuum umbrella through street outreach and engagement and through the various processes which make up the Coordinated Entry System.

Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 1st Year and 2nd Year/Advanced Standing (social Leadership) Students.  Full-time and part-time positions available.
Agency hours: 9:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday.
Staff are currently working approximately 80% remotely.
Agency accessible by public transit.
Stipend available.
