Behavioral Health Services at Haywood Regional Medical Center include the following services: 17 bed adult (18+) Inpatient psychiatric unit, 16 bed senior (55+) Inpatient psychiatric unit, 6 bed psychiatric evaluation area in the Emergency Department and a hospital wide consultation service.  
Social Workers and other licensed Mental Health clinicians have responsibilities. In all of these services.  Social Workers are also instrumental in providing the clinical treatment to patients on the inpatient units and extensively in discharge planning.

Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 1st-year and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (SL + clinical) students. Full-time positions only.
Transportation to and from hospital required. Limited public transportation available.
Agency hours: 8:00AM-6:00PM, Monday-Sunday.
Liability insurance required.
