At Health First: Aging Services, we are focused on addressing wellness in aging, along with managing the challenges and impairments some older adults experience. With strong community support and concern for Brevard's seniors, Health First launched its first specialty program for older adults in 2002. Today, these specialty services are aimed at seniors and their families/caregivers and we have thee distinct service lines that work collaboratively:
1st - The Aging Services Medical Clinic Directed by Dr. Via Srinivasan. This comprehensive and innovative service considers all aspects of the patient's medical, social, economic, and financial situation to come up with a unique care plan. Within our Health First Aging Services family, we provide resources, education, and complimentary services that focus on the patient and their caregivers to fulfill their critical needs.
2nd - The Center for Family Caregivers is a place for information, support, and hope amidst the many challenges caregivers face. On-going programs include:
customized information and referrals for all caregiving needs, caregiver education and training programs, support groups, creative workshops to preserve family memories, and special social events designed to allow families to enjoy time together.
3rd - The Memory Disorder Clinic is a not-for-profit agency funded primarily through the Alzheimer's Disease Initiative of the State of Florida and Department of Elder Affairs for the purpose of providing services for individuals in the community who are concerned about Alzheimer's disease or related disorders.
