HPH Hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual care to nearly 1,000 patients/families dealing with life-limiting illness and loss.  HPH Hospice serves patients in a variety of settings, including homes and assisted living facilities, nursing homes and hospitals, care centers and residential home-like settings.  Social work plays an important role in providing both material resources and supportive counseling to patients/families as they cope with adjusting to a life-limiting or terminal illness.

BSW (32 hours per week/one semester).  MSW (1st-year students 27 hours per week/one semester).  MSW (2nd year and Advanced Standing Students-32 hours per week/one semester).  Part-time BSW (12-16 hours per week over two semesters).  Part-time MSW (12-16 hours per week over two semesters). Students will need to be available to travel to multiple settings throughout Hernando, Pasco and Citrus counties in their own insured vehicle.  Agency hours are generally 8:30am-5:00pm.  However, some accommodation may be made for weekend coverage on an individual basis.  Audio taping is permitted with appropriate consent.  Students must be available for an agency-wide, mandatory 3-day new employee orientation.
