Kristi House is a child advocacy center. The core function of a child advocacy center is to assist in coordinating and advocating for services and investigating bodies (DCF, forensic evaluations, law enforcement) involved when a child discloses abuse. We hold weekly staffings with MDT, including state attorney's office, DCF, Miami-Dade police department, guardian ad litem, child protection team, following a forensic interview of the child. Kristi House provides evidence-based, specialized trauma therapy to children and caregivers. We also provide family advocacy services as well as education and prevention courses to the community around child abuse. We have a specialized program for sex trafficking as well.

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW and MSW students. Part-time positions only.
For clinical internships, student will need to be in their second year and remain with the Kristi House for two semesters due to the client population that we serve.
Liability insurance required.
Video-/Audio-taping permitted with client and agency supervisor's consent and approval.
Evening hours available, until about 7pm.
