Comprehensive community oncology center that has five medical oncologists/hematologists and two radiation oncologists. We serve adult patients (18 and up) from the rural Southwest Georgia area including Thomas, Colquitt, Mitchell, Grady, Decatur, Miller, and Seminole counties. We offer social work serves to every patient. These include assistance with transportation issues, insurance issues, disability and Medicaid application, financial referrals, and emotional support. Students will need to provide their own transportation to Thomasville, GA as public transportation is not available. Travel is not reimbursed and no stipends are available. Hours are generally 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a few opportunities for evening hours. Videotaping, audio taping, and photographs are not permitted. Students will need liability insurance, a background check, PPD testing, a drug screen and must sign an agreement to comply with HIPPA QA confidentially regulations.
