LSF Health Systems strives to create a behavioral health safety net designed to improve lives in the Northeast and North Central Florida Region through the provision of innovative and cost-effective substance use and Mental Health services for those at-risk and affected by illness. 
Macro Social Work efforts include advocating for quality behavioral health care and empowering consumers by involving them in systemic change. 
Mezzo Social Work efforts include organizing community groups within our region to address behavioral health related needs, facilitating discussions to improve the system of care and evaluating/monitoring behavioral health agency operations to improve its client services by conducting concurrent and retrospective clinical chart reviews. 
Micro Social Work efforts include maintaining 24 hour/7 days a week access to care line for consumers seeking substance use and Mental Health services, providing care coordination for the most vulnerable populations within our system of care. LSF Health Systems serves youth and adult populations.

Intern job description:
Interns within LSF Health Systems will get an opportunity to help a variety of populations by working with the Clinical Care Manager and others on the Clinical Team. 
Interns will learn ways the agency works with consumers to ensure that they are the best stewards of funds awarded and are providing the quality care to vulnerable populations. 
Interns will learn about the monitoring process and engage directly with providers across the northeast region.
Interns will have the ability to identify and work within areas of interest throughout the team as LSF is the managing entity for over 60 programs throughout the state. 
In addition, Interns will be an integral part in organizing and executing training and technical assistance covering a variety of topics and statutes. Additional Areas of exposure include but are not limited to; Funding, Training, Programming, Community Relationships, Quality Assurance and Operation of the Access To Care Line.

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW, MSW 1st-year, and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (SL + clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available.
Transportation required. Agency accessible by public transit. Travel reimbursement available.
Video-/Audio-taping not permitted.
Agency hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday.
