Social Worker for Dept. of Behavioral Health, Social Work Service for a large population of 25,000.  Serves as a social worker, case manager, and therapist in the Army Family Advocacy Program concentrating in areas of spouse and child abuse.  Conduct individual, family and group counseling.  Provide psychosocial assessments with particular emphasis on determining the primary needs and evaluating the level of removal/protection of family members from the abuser.  Assist medical, law enforcement, and state authorities in interviewing victims.  Formulate treatment plans related to problems identified from assessments.  Participate in the Case Review Committee.  Document patient progress notes and collateral contacts in Clinid files.  Conduct home assessments on a case-by-case basis as determined by The Chief, Social Work Service.

Part and full-time BSW and MSW Clinical students. No travel will be necessary for the agency.  A stipend is not available.  Students do not need liability insurance - they are covered under Martin Army Hospital's umbrella policy.  Video or audio taping are not allowed.  Agency hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.  No weekend or evening hours for interns.
