Oaks Family counseling is a private group practice. We serve clients virtually and in person and have a large office building to accommodate many clinicians. We typically see clients ages 5 to older adults and work with individuals, couples and families. We see a lot of clients with anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns family or marital conflict, stress, or other concerns. We do not typically collaborate with clients with eating disorders because those clients would be better served by a specialist in that area. Social workers do counseling/clinical work, are responsible for case conceptualization, treatment, documentation, etc. (With help). SW can also do case management, if desired. We provide the clients, office space, support billing and suspension.
Special Placement Information:
The agency is accepting MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, (Clinical) Part-time MSW. The student will need to provide their own transportation or use the bus as the office is close to the public bus route. Students may be paid a per session rate as agreed upon by the owner and student prior to starting students must provide their own liability insurance and laptop. HER software and email address are provided free of charge. Office space is provided free of charge as well. Audio or video taping is allowed on a case-by-case basis with client permission. The hours vary and can be flexible. Evening or weekend hours can be arranged, if needed. No home visits are required, and all sessions will be conducted while the student is at the counseling office. Supervision is provided for no additional fee while working with our practice.
