PBRC, is a substance use disorder facility.  We are a detox level of care (medical) and also provide residential level of care.  We work with co-occurring disorders.  The primary focus of the program is to provide a comfortable and safe medical detox.  Our residential program provides a 24-hour structure of diabetic groups, individual therapy, case management services and aftercare options.  The program also offers yoga, acupuncture, nutritionist (as needed) and chiropractic services, focusing on pain management strategies.
Interns job description:
Interns would be trained on bio-psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, aftercare/discharge planning (criteria). Co-facilitate groups, writing individual notes (clinically), attend weekly supervision with qualified supervisor.  Interns would also shadow primary case manager/therapist and other members of the treatment team.  Staff will provide ongoing education of detox (taper) protocols and collaborate with medical staff.

Special Placement Information:

BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Students, Part-time BSW, Part-time MSW.  The facility is opened 24-hours a day 7-days a week, making an interns schedule flexible.  There is no transportation required, nor liability insurance bus/trains or within walking distance.  We do not allow video recording due to HIPPA.
