Assist the military community in achieving and maintaining their highest level of functioning.  The mental health flight is comprised of three elements: Mental Health Clinic, Family Advocacy Program and the Alcohol Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program. The Mental Health Clinic provides the following services: behavior science consultation services; individual, marital, group treatment; psycho-educational groups; psychological assessment; psychiatry services; BHOP; family, women's, pediatrics & aerospace medicine; readiness; landing gear/deployment line; traumatic stress response team; crisis response team (disaster preparedness).  Family Advocacy Program provides the following services: maltreatment service include: individual, couple, and family treatment.  Prevention services include: anger management; relationship enhancement; family counseling; mood management.  The Family Advocacy outreach program also provides: the On the Road Program; and the NPSP.  The On the Road Program consists of: providing outreach and educational services in the workplace environment.  The New Parent Support Program provides the following services: childbirth class; breast feeding class OB Orientation; home visits; dad's basics; baby support group.  The Alcohol Drug Abuse Prevention Education Program provides the following services: Assessment for Alcohol/Drug misuse, abuse and dependency; treatment- Level 5 education; Level 1 outpatient; referral to IOP; Bradford: referral to inpatient; Bradford and 12 Oaks; prevention - screening: alcohol awareness month April 3 D in December; psycho-educational: responsible drinking, misuse/abuse.

Special Information

Part-time, 1st or 2nd year and advanced standing clinical MSW students. Student will require transportation; travel is not reimbursed by this agency (325 MDG); no stipend is available from this agency (325 MDG); students are required to have liability insurance; video taping is allowed with appropriate legal consent; weekend hours are not available; the agency (325 MDG) is not accessible by bus.
