Elizabeth Curley

Elizabeth Curley is a doctoral candidate at Florida State University College of Social Work. Their research interest includes strategies to improve and maintain human relationships during and after incarceration, especially concerning prison visitation. Their interest in criminal justice issues blossomed while working with individuals who were court-mandated to complete substance use treatment. Before entering the doctoral program, Elizabeth embraced their passion and worked for an agency that conducted a prison visitation program that promoted quality bonding between children and their loved ones in correctional facilities across the state. Elizabeth also worked as a research assistant for the Institute for Justice Research and Development (IJRD), assisting on numerous projects on topics across the spectrum of criminal justice research.
