YWCA Dayton provides a range of services for survivors of domestic, violence and sexual assault including case management, emergency shelter, housing assistance, community outreach, and education/training.  The agency also manages a 24-hour crisis hotline.  Clients served are over 18 years of age.  Social Workers are responsible for psychosocial diagnostic assessments and some short-term counseling.  There are also opportunities to provide community outreach by participating on a speaker panel or tabling events.  Service is provided in Montgomery county and Preble county.

Special Placement Information

MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing (Social Policy and Administration) (Clinical) Students will not be transporting clients.  There is minimum traveling between sites and there is mileage reimbursement as needed.  Services are provided 24 hours a day, but most clinical services occur Monday through Friday ruling business hours.  The agency location is bus acc3essible in Montgomery County, but not Preble.
