Underground Railroad, Inc. serves survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and stalking.  Services include emergency shelter, crisis services, advocacy, housing assistance, childcare, Safe Place Supervised Visitation/exchange, court services and therapy services, which include intimate partner violence, sexual assault, youth therapy and co-victims of homicide.  Age ranges vary based on the area of the organization and social workers staff the majority of the departments including childcare.

Special Placement Information:

MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Students, Student will need their own transportation to and from the office.  Travel time is not reimbursed unless using your own vehicle to travel out of county for work.  Otherwise all client transport must be done with and agency vehicle.  To utilize our agency vehicles.  You must be permitted by your university, pass our background check and have valid car insurance.  This is an unpaid position.  No video or audiotaping is permitted to maintain strict confidentiality for our survivors/clients.  URR office ours are M-F 9am-5pm.  We are not open on weekends.  There may occasionally be opportunity to shadow, cover or assist during evenings within our Safety Center; however, this would be with the inclusion of a supervisor. Our agency buildings are accessible by bus.
