- The Salvation Army's provision of food, shelter, health services, counseling, and other physical, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual aid, is given on the basis of need, available resources and established program policies.
Organizations contracting and/or cooperating with The Salvation Army may be assured that because The Salvation Army is rooted in Christian compassion and is governed by Judea-Christian ethics. The Salvation Army will strictly observe all provision of its contracts and agreements."
Special Placement Information:
Students need transportation because they are not allowed to drive The Salvation Army vehicles. Travel reimbursements and stipends are not available. Students will need liability insurance usually covered by the University's Certificate of Insurance. Video or audio taping is permitted with the written consent of participants/clients. The Lynchburg Salvation Army is a 24/7/365 operation accessible on weekdays, holidays, and weekends. Students are generally assigned duties during the same hours as campus classes. Casual business attire is expected unless otherwise indicated.
