Annmarie Powell, LCSW, LLC, is a contracted provider with the Marsh Landing Behavioral Group and functions as an independent clinical social worker. The agency primarily provides cognitive behavior therapy to individuals ages 12 years and older. The main role of social work is to complete a clinical assessment and develop a treatment plan. This may also include referrals to other community mental health agencies and providers. Once a treatment plan is developed ongoing psychotherapy is provided until treatment is satisfactorily completed. Areas of specialty are depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, and coping with terminal and/or chronic health conditions.

Accepting BSW, MSW 1st-year, and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available.
All students with require an interview before approval. Transportation required. Travel reimbursement is not available. A stipend is not available. Video-/audiotaping is not permitted. A HIPPA agreement signature is required. Liability insurance is not required. Agency hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Evening hours available. The student will be observing individual couple and family therapy assessments and follow-up sessions. Permission from each client will be obtained. If the client refuses the student will be provided with other tasks not related to direct clinical care. This would typically include researching local therapeutic resources, reading completed clinical assessments, and various other clinical educational materials. The student will not provide direct clinical care but will be given the opportunity to observe and discuss all clinical interactions and interventions.
