Hospice care is a coordinated health care program that provides comfort to patients and supportive care to patients and their loved ones in both home and facility-based settings.  Social work interns would participate in an interdisciplinary group comprised of physicians, nurses, chaplains, social workers, and hospice aides. Students would assist social workers with psychosocial assessments, grief counseling, individual and family counseling, crisis management, and connection with community resources Covenant Hospice has branches in Pensacola, Milton, Niceville, Crestview, Panama City, Marianna, and Tallahassee, FL. We also have Alabama offices in Daphne, Mobile, Brewton, and Dothan.

BSW, MSW 1st, 2nd and advance standing Clinical, Full-time/part-time    Students are required to have a valid drivers license, current auto insurance card and available transportation throughout the day. Students will need to show general liability insurance prior to beginning the internship. Agency hours are M-F, 8 am until 5 pm. No weekend hours or evening hours are available. Video or audio taping is not permitted. Travel expenses are not reimbursed by the agency. No stipend available for student interns.
