The YWCA of Northwest Georgia is a victim services agency that serves victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. We provide emergency shelter, transitional Housing, counseling, assistance with temporary protective orders, sexual assault exams and a 24-hour crisis line. We can help with safety plans etc. All services are free, and we can serve men, women, and children who have been victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
The agency is accepting BSW, MSW 1st year and MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Students on a full-time basis for clinical only. The agency is on a bus line. There is no stipend available. The student will need to provide their own transportation. The YWCA of Northwest Georgia is a 24 hour a day facility. There is an opportunity for interns to complete hours during the evenings and weekends. There is a 20 hour required in-person training that interns have to complete, in addition to a 40-hour online training. All interns have to complete and pass a background check before completing any hours.
