Independence Landing is a permanent supportive housing solution, in an affordable housing community, for adults with intellectual.
and /or developmental disabilities. It is home to a maximum of 70 residents over the age of 18. Currently, the residents range from 20 to 75.  The role of social work at Independence Landing is to provide the independent living support needed for the residents to live independently, integrate with their local community, and thrive socially.

Special Placement Information:

The Agency is accepting BSW, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students. Social Leadership, Part-time BSW, Part-time MSW.  Students will need their transportation. Independence Landing will provide a stipend of $500 a semester but we hope to increase this with the assistance of grants. We are a 24/hr. community so students can work with our services team to determine what schedule works best for them. Our community is accessible by bus. Video and audio taping is permitted for certain residents, so students must work with our services team to determine which residents can be recorded.
