LifeConnections Specialized Services Florida specializes in the recruitment, training, and support of therapeutic foster parents. We also provide in-home therapeutic services to the children in our program ranging from ages 2-17. Provided therapeutic services include the creation of biopsychosocial assessments, PTSD assessments, Functioning Assessments, as well as creation of treatment plans and monthly progress reports.
Clinicians are expected to be prepared and present for Multi-Disciplinary Stuffings for their clients monthly.

Special Placement Information:

The agency is accepting BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, Part-time BSW, Part-time MSW. 
The student intern will be expected to provide their own transportation and travel will not be reimbursed. The student(s) will not be paid for their internship with Life Connections, nor will they need liability insurance as this is covered by the agency. The expected working hours will be weekdays from 9am to 5pm unless there is a special project, or the intern is shadowing a licensed clinician after work hours. Weekend hours will only be in the case of a special event.  Prior to beginning the internship, the student(s) will complete a level 2 background check as well as a check of the Florida Central Abuse Registry to ensure that there are no open or previous investigations noting the student(s) as the alleged perpetrator of child abuse.
