RCS is a nonprofit that provides Help & Hope to people facing hunger, homelessness and domestic violence in Pinellas County. Florida for over 50 years. We have the RCS food bank RCS Grace House RCS Thrift store and The Haven which include our outreach program, the emergency domestic violence shelter, and our affordable housing/ housing first program. Our shelter has 36 beds for women and children that are fleeing a domestic violence situation. We offer a safe haven while advocating to assist in stabilizing their domestic violence with legal support. supportive counseling, housing support, and vocational support. We provide weekly groups that focus on empowerment, financial stability, job readiness and healthy relationships. We have linkages with mental health programs and legal programs within Pinellas County. We provide 24 hotline advocacy for survivors of domestic violence including safety planning and in a client-centered approach, we make appropriate referrals.

BSW, MSW (1st year)
The student is responsible to provide her own transportation to the shelter and there is no stipend available. We are open 24 hours a day: 7 days a week. Transportation may be challenging without a vehicle.
