Shanks Middle School is a public-school serving student in grades K-8.  The role of the social workers is to assist with attendance/truancy processes., attend MTSS/IEP Meetings, serve as liaison between the school and community, conduct suicide threat assessments with the crisis Prevention Team etc.  

Special Placement Information:

The Agency is MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, (Clinical) Part-time MSW.  The Agency is not accessible by public transportation.  Travel is not reimbursed by the agency, and there are no stipends available.  Liability insurance is recommended, but not required.
