Agency Description

The agency is an in-patient psychiatric hospital providing short-term acute care. Students are involved in Unit Group activities, conduct psychosocial assessments, develop preliminary treatment plans, attend clinical staff meetings, and observe case staffing's with the treatment team. As they develop skills and familiarity with the program, they may conduct group activities with assistance and do interviewing.  Placements are 8-5pm.  There is no availability after 5:00 pm or weekends because there is no MSW supervisor available during those times.  Keep in mind the cost for background screening etc. is the responsibility of the student, which is approximately $160.00.

Special Information

This agency accepts BSW and MSW 1st year students. Full and part time options available. Students do not need liability insurance. Background check cost is approximately $125 and cost is the responsibility of the student. They are expected to work a similar schedule to our social workers which is typically 8am - 4:30pm.  We do not allow video/audio taping.  We are on the bus route.  We do not offer a stipend or travel reimbursement
