The mission of The Faulk Center for Counseling (the Faulk Center) is to promote emotional well-being through a variety of free and low-cost mental health programs. Mental health services are provided to people of all ages, from children to the elderly. Group, individual, family therapy and support groups are provided using a variety of treatment modalities at the Faulk Center building and at various outreach locations. Clinical services are provided by graduate students in the field of mental health counseling, social work and psychology. Social work students receive individual supervision by licensed clinical social workers.
Special Placement Information:
The Agency accepts MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students. Video and audio taping of sessions is required. Trainees who meet specific criteria (e.g, age, driving record, insurance) are eligible for mileage reimbursement to outreach locations. Trainees must pass background checks/fingerprinting and a motor vehicle records search. The Faulk Center is open for business Monday-Wednesday 9:00am-9:00 pm and Thursday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.
